Billing Method in Matter

These are billing methods available in Matter;

1. Hourly
2. Flat fee
3. Mixed of Flat Fee and Hourly
4. Contingency

Hourly

You can create billable activity by hourly. You can then select one or many billable activities to create a bill to your clients.

You may also customise the hourly rate based on the individual member of the Matter at Custom Billing Rate.

Flat Fee

You have a fixed price for the matter. The Flat Fee category can be selected from the menu list, or you can add the Category right there in the Matter form. The moment you save the Matter, an activity entry with full price will be recorded in your Unbilled Activities tab.

Mix of Flat Fee and Hourly

You have a fixed price for the matter. The Flat Fee category can be selected from the menu list, or you can add the Category right there in the Matter form. The moment you save the Matter, an activity entry with full price will be recorded in your Unbilled Activities tab.

You can also create new hourly entry into the Matter. 

Contingency

Contingency fee is normally a fee awarded to the lawyers paid from the financial compensation awarded to the client. You need to specify  It will create an unbilled activity after the matter is saved. You can select this unbilled activity and create a Bill for it.
